Manchester foot care is the trading name of an independent foot health practitioner called David Clayton S.A.C Dip. FHPT S.A.C Dip. FHPP and his team of 2 Podiatrist's and a reflexologist. He is based in Urmston and works all across the Greater Manchester area covering the city centre and the surrounding areas. Due to the very nature of referrals to friends and family by happy patients, David now works across a very large area covering Cheshire towns such as Partington and Lymm, Wigan in Lancashire, Bolton, Oldham, Stockport and to rural areas that don't have a local chiropodist, podiatrist or foot health practitioner.
Foot health practitioners work with chiropodists and podiatrist in the community looking after peoples feet and legs and as the name suggests, foot health practitioners work exclusively on patients feet. It is this area of health care that David found fascinating and wanted to pursue a career. The structural workings of the foots skeletal system and its shock absorbing qualities were a draw to David's science background and he decided to embark on a career in this profession.
His training began at the Stonebridge college of foot care in the Cornish town of Bude but it was some time before the study of the foot began. The cell was the starting point of the study and this led on to the organisation of the cell into tissues then organs and complete body systems such as the skeleton, the circulatory and the nervous systems. The invading micro organisms that cause us problems such as verrucas were studied and the mechanical stresses of walking and running that lead to corns were fully understood before the study turned to the actual foot. Only with a full understanding of the blood, nerve, skeletal and lymph systems within the foot can the study of foot problems and their cures begin. After qualifying with a distinction David set up practicing in Urmston and realised that his studying was by no means at and end. In fact it was only just beginning. On going study and development is essential to keep up with the latest technologies and methods which evolve almost daily. When you book David for an appointment to look after your feet, you know that you are getting the latest and most up to date treatments.
David and his team work in patients homes across Greater Manchester and visits each area roughly every six weeks which is normally the frequency of appointments for ongoing treatments. Each appointment last for approximately half an hour to 40 minutes on average though their are exceptions to this norm and the first visit will take longer due to patient record taking and the thorough first examination and treatment.
New patients often say that they don't know if they need foot care or not. If you have a problem with your feet then it can build up from a simple corn or callus and alter your whole gait leading to joint and back problems. If you are in doubt then give David a call for an appointment and give yourself that peace of mind. Having pain free feet also gives you one less thing to worry about and keep you stress free as the pain of painful feet can't be avoided as we need to constantly be mobile.
Most of David's patients have come to him from referrals and recommendations from friends, family and workmates. Please let everyone know of Manchester foot care and let them know of the benefits you are getting from pain free functional feet. If you are unhappy with David's work then please call and let him know what he can do to improve his service. A friendly chat and follow up visit will resolve any problem.
